Tips if your fence has blown down

Unfortunately a lot of homes will have damaged fences after Storm Dennis gave its best, and it's not entirly over

So what tips for damaged fences?

  1. Moves fallen fences to safe area. Ensure loose fences are out of the wind to prevent further damage to other parts of your fence and your property
  2. Check for remaining loose parts of your fencing system. If loose it may be better to remove to save damage to the panels until the storm is over and then you can re-secure.
  3. Secure openings if you have pets. Use metal wire fencing as a temporary fix which should stand up to any remaining winds.
  4. When the storm has passed either replace the panels from a DIY retailer (as long as the posts are still secure), or use Priceatrade's Gardening section to get a shortlist of prices for tradesmen to do the work. The beauty of Priceatrade is you can instantly see the prices from local tradesmen and appoint all in a few clicks, and all are pre-approved for quality.
